A raffle and auction are part of the Second Annual Karlh McCallister Memorial Golf Outing on Saturday, June 25, at Greenville Golf Course. Proceeds from the outing will benefit Bridges to College, formerly known as the Darke County College Access Program.

Are you unable to join the outing for a day of golf? Then consider buying raffle tickets and possibly be a winner for some fabulous prizes.

Some of the prizes are a Frigidaire wine cooler, KitchenAid mixer, and gift certificates to area restaurants such as CJ High Marks and The Inn at Versailles. Area golf courses are donating rounds of golf from Stillwater Valley Golf Course, White Springs, and the Greenville Golf course. Also being raffled are DVD players, Reds Tickets, and many other items. Buying a raffle ticket is a great way to donate, participate and still have a chance to be a winner.

Tickets are $5 each, 3 for $10 or seven for $20. Winners will be drawn after the golf outing on June 25. A person does not need to be present to win.

Tickets may be purchased in advance from any Bridges to College board member or at Hansbarger Home Solutions in Greenville. Our board members selling tickets include Bill LaFramboise, Ryan Cox, Diane Swallow, Kevin Blakeley, Aaron Cox, Marlise McCallister, Chris Mortensen, Chris Seger, Marc Saluk, Brian Swiger, and Rhonda Williams.

In addition to the raffle, several high-end items will be auctioned after the golf outing. Not only is the auction fun, but a great way to raise additional dollars for scholarships. Some local businesses and individuals have donated other items such as Frigidaire beverage center, a full family membership to the Darke County YMCA, and more

“We are still accepting raffle prizes, auction donations, and there is still plenty of time to get a team entered for a great day of golf, for a great cause,” said Mike Barker, organizer of this year’s outing.

Team registration deadline is June 17. Those interested in being a sponsor, registering a team, providing raffle prizes or making a donation may contact Mike Barker at (937) 423-1924 or email
