All-star line-up set for Illumination 2011

GREENVILLE - Mark your calendar now for Sept. 18. On that date the Illumination Committee will be bringing its best line-up ever to the Darke County Fairgrounds for Illumination: Light in the Darke 2011. This year's all-star line-up includes artists whose music has been featured in television shows and hit movies. Headlining this year's festival of music will be Dove Award winner and Grammy Award nominee Jeremy Camp. Joining him on stage will be Hawk Nelson, Fireflight and Superchick. Also scheduled to appear are Chasen, Hyland, Manifest, Kiros and Samestate.

Jeremy Camp has sold three million records and charted 19 No. 1 hits, but his latest project brings him back to his first love. To get himself out of the way, Camp, a rock artist who's also an ordained minister, makes an intentional return to worship on We Cry Out, his latest project, just as he did for his second album, Carried Me. In this familiar setting, he often steps back from self-written tunes, choosing instead to celebrate and share the latest praise songs by others that have been stirring his own spirit toward revival.

Hawk Nelson will be sure to have you pumping your fist, dancing and celebrating when he takes the stage singing some of the songs off of their fifth album. Crazy Love reveals the right combination of heads and tails: a return to the early days of Hawk Nelson rock with an ever-maturing look at life and the need for truth.

Superchick is living up to its name. Its first four albums have combined for 700,000 copies sold, more than 70 film, television and videogame song placements, and five No. 1 singles.

Returning to Illumination this year will be Dove Award and Grammy Award nominated Fireflight. The past few years have been a whirlwind for the group. Back when the Floridians launched their Flicker Records debut, The Healing of Harms, in 2006, the versatile quintet rocked two No. 1 radio singles, toured relentlessly, and, best of all, discovered a growing fanbase that reciprocated the band's passion.

Tickets for Illumination: Light in the Darke 2011 are available now through Sept. 17 for $20 for general admission and $25 for reserved box seating. Tickets the day of the show are $25 for general admission and $30 for reserved box seating.

Tickets will be available through itickets.com and in Greenville at Bread of Life Christian Bookstore and Darke County Fairgrounds - Secretary's office. Tickets are also available at the Christian Bookstore in Union City, Trinity Gifts and Books in Richmond, and Grace Christian Bookstores in Piqua and Huber Heights.
