The Darke County Animal Shelter presents Its pets of the week:

Jazzy is a 3-year-old terrier mix. She is black with long hair. She is a sweet little girl and loves to play. She is full of energy and will make a great walking companion. She is housebroken and is good with kids. She gets along well with other dogs and cats. She will make super companion and is ready for adoption.

Josie is an 8-year-old Weimaraner. She is gray with short hair and a short tail. She is a friendly girl and weighs around 70 pounds. She is a healthy looking girl and was found in the Wayne Lakes area. She will make a great friend and is ready for adoption.

Benny is a 5-year-old Shih-Tzu. He is white and gray with long hair. He is a nice little guy but takes a little bit to warm up to. He loves to be carried but doesn’t care much for a leash. He will make a great housedog and is waiting to be adopted.

We also have a Sheltie, a Border Collie, and a couple of labs, a little boxer mix puppy and numerous other dogs. We also have cats and kittens for adoption. The Shelter hours are 8am till 4:30pm Monday-Friday and 9:00 till noon on Saturday. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Road in Greenville, and the phone number is 547-1645.
