GREENVILLE, OH (August 10, 2011) – The YMCA of Darke County will be offering FREE classes and entrance to Y in Greenville and Versailles from Monday, August 29-Saturday, September 3 during “Try the Y Week”! As kids head back to school and start back into that familiar routine, it is also the perfect time to either develop or fall back into a health and fitness routine. All activities during the week are free and there is no cost to come visit the Y during the week.
“There are individuals in our community that have never been to one of our Y’s,” says Gail Hostuttler, Executive Director. “We want to give everyone the opportunity to come, see and try the Y. There really is something for everyone here!”
Program Director, Allan King, said, “Many say the hardest part of exercising is getting started. Try the Y Week lets you get started for FREE. We have a lot of great class offerings as well as free time to try out the cardio room, gym, pool and weight room.”
Classes that will be offered include sessions of Zumba, Indoor Cycling, Yoga, Toning, Bootcamp, Resist-A-Ball, Original Strength and a variety of water fitness classes. All classes are free and open to the public first come first served. The Y will also waive the Joiner’s Fee on all new memberships during “Try the Y Week”. Fall I classes will begin on Tuesday, September 6. Public registration for Fall I classes begins on Monday, August 29.
