Miami Valley Mounted Search and Rescues Sponsors Versailles Fire Departments 9-11 Memorial Stair Climb

On Tuesday, August 23, the Miami Valley Mounted Search and Rescue presented Brian Pearson and Scott Garrison of the Versailles Fire Department with a check to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation in memory of the fallen firefighters of 9-11. They are traveling to Pittsburg PA to climb 110 flights of stairs in memory of their fallen brothers on 9-11 as part of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation's series of 9-11 Memorial Stair Climbs (you can find more information on this event here).

The Miami Valley Mounted Search and Rescue is a community based, all volunteer, non-profit organization. We are in existence to serve the public and support law enforcement with a well trained, fully equipped mounted unit. Our service is available through law enforcement, fire departments and EMA's. In addition to search and rescue we also offer event parking assistance, patrolling of hiking, biking trails, camping areas and special events. We provide the public with information on child safety awareness and lost child prevention. In an effort to lessen the need to search for missing or abducted children, we take the safety guidelines of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to clubs, schools and churches. We share our ID kits and pamphlets with children, parents and grandparents.

As a non-profit organization we felt honored in donating 110 for 110.
