GTS’s featured rider of the month is Barbara Grim. Barb, shown here with bus driver, Darrel Roan, has been riding the transit for a little over a year. After incurring health problems and poor eyesight, Barb had to give up driving and now depends on GTS to get her to all of her doctor appointments, to church on Sunday and for shopping for her groceries. Barb’s hobbies included crocheting and knitting, before her eyesight got bad, and now she enjoys using the computer. When asked about any comments she had on the services of GTS, Barb replied that she would like to see the Transit run longer hours on Sunday and that all the drivers are courteous and kind to her. Barb, like so many of the GTS riders, depends on the services provided by GTS and is thankful for the service. Barb’s son, Mike is also a dispatcher with GTS.
