On October 15, 2011 at 16:31 hours, Darke County Deputies along with Liberty Township Fire Dept., Union City Rescue, and Tri-Village Rescue were dispatched to the 2,000 block of Greenville-Nashville Road in reference to a one vehicle, rollover accident. Witness reported one subject was ejected from the vehicle. Investigation revealed that a Ford Escort was westbound on Greenville-Nashville Road, when the driver lost control and drove off the right side of the roadway and struck a Darke Rural Electric utility pole. The vehicle spun back onto the roadway, rolling over once.
The MICU (Mobile Intensive Care Unit) transported the male driver and female passenger to Miami Valley Hospital.
The accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
