The A & B Coffee & Cake Co. Set to Open Tomorrow (November 2nd)

Aaron and Betsy Ward, life long residents of Darke County, will be opening The A & B Coffee & Cake Co. in downtown Greenville on Wednesday, November 2nd. at 9:00 a.m. They are located at the corner of Fourth and Broadway.

Betsy, who is well known for her cakes, wedding cakes, specialty cupcakes and a variety of baked goods - will now be operating her bakery from the new location.

Their regular business hours will be Monday through Saturday, from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. There will be 'charging stations' located throughout their facility, for cell phones & laptops. Wi fi is also available within the business.

They will be featuring Crimson Cup coffee, teas, and fruit smoothies. What's special about Crimson Cup ??? What would happen in a showdown between, say, your mom and a master chef? Mom would bring the yumminess. But the chef, with both culinary expertise and a refined palette, would bring the art. Crimson Cup is the same kind of deal—way, way better than that other stuff. We’re just sayin’. (Shout out to your Mom.)

A & B will also be featuring Crimson Cup Smoothies - all natural flavors, with no artificial colors, no caffeine, no preservatives, and no worries.

Aaron & Betsy will be offering their special drink - A & B Mocha, and a unique twist, Frozen Hot Chocolate, just to name a few items on their menu. They will also have a weekly drink special at a discounted price. The shop has a state of the art point of sale system, which will speed not only the ordering, but the payment transaction (accepting both debit and credit cards)....so carry-out orders can be processed quickly - or - allow you more time to sit, relax and enjoy their spacious newly renovated facility.

  6. Good luck to Betsy & Aaron! So nice to see new business downtown. My hubby & I enjoy the gourmet cupcakes from Ele Cake Co. in Dayton, so we will be happy to sample A & B's confections.

  9. O.K., so I went into the new place this morning and had a plain cup of joe (I do not really care for added syrups). It was alright, slightly strong-but a rather typical cup of coffee. I also purchased a cupcake, which was very good. Cost was almost $4.
My overall take: Nice place to sit, chat, and enjoy. The confections are good and what I didn't have looked great. Very clean & new, with a friendly staff. But, if you're looking for a flavored "plain" coffee, you are better at One on One or The Beanery. Perhaps this is really a good thing because it may keep all three businesses going.
I will frequent A&B again, and I would encourage you to do the same!
