Darke County is 203 Years Old Today

Thanks to Gunckle in the chat for pointing this fact out: today is Darke County's birthday!

For those of you who do not know (which included myself until a few moments ago), Darke County was named after William Darke, an officer in the Revolutionary War (link goes to his Wikipedia entry).

Darke County was founded on January 3, 1809 which makes today Darke County's 203rd birthday. My how time flies. It seems like yesterday Darke County was precious and new and full of wonder, looking at the world with fresh eyes... Now it's practically all grown up!
