L-R: Kellie Ritz, Peggy Follrod, Abbey O’Donnell, and Tessa Jobes
The Arcanum Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) presented Grace Resurrection Community Center (GRCC) with a donation of $200. The students collected the funds through various events, including a bake sale according to Patty Carroll, the FCCLA instructor.

Peggy Follrod, Executive Director of GRCC, thanked the Arcanum FCCLA members, saying, “this donation will help fund our Food Pantry. We are currently distributing groceries to over 400 Darke County households a month for a total of 1,200 individuals.” To qualify for commodities, the family must fall below 200% of the poverty guidelines. Applicants for the program can come on Monday or Thursday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. They need to bring a photo ID and proof of Darke County residency, such as a rent receipt or utility bill.

Grace Resurrection Community Center, located at the corner of Water and Boston Streets in Greenville also provides meals Monday through Thursday from 11 am to noon. The Soup Kitchen is free and open to the community. Follrod explained that there are over 20 churches involved in providing, preparing and serving lunches. Free clothing is available on Thursdays from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Donations of food items and gently used apparel can be dropped off during the business hours noted above. For more information call 937-548-2595, log into www.GRCCenter.org, email PeggyF@GRCCenter.org, or follow Grace Resurrection Community Center on Facebook.

Follrod express her gratitude to the Arcanum FCCLA saying, “It is wonderful to know we have such caring, community-minded students in Darke County. Thank you so much!”
