Greenville Kiwanis March Seniors of the Month


Greenville Kiwanis has recognized four Greenville High School students as its March Students of the Month. They are left to right, Andrew Cech, Kelly Martin, Nicole Raffel and Hugo van der Walt.

Andrew is the son of Russell and Roxanne Cech. Andrew is involved in the National Honor Society, Science Club, Spanish Club, Cross Country, Swimming and Ultimate Frisbee. He also participates in the Dayton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. Andrew plans to attend the University of Kentucky, majoring in Electrical Engineering.

Kelly is the daughter of Tory and Denise Martin. Kelly is involved in the National Honor Society, Softball and Math Medal. She also participates in Glory Group at Church. Kelly plans to attend Muskingum College, majoring in Mathematics.

Nicole is the daughter of Chris and Pam Raffel. Nicole is involved in the National Honor Society, Student Council President, Senior Class Vice President, Science Club, SADD, Cross Country, Track and Varsity G Club. She also participates in Church Glory Group, Rake and Run, Food for Fish, Bingo at Heartland and Shawnee Prairie Days. Nicole plans to attend the University of Toledo majoring in either Health Care or Social Work.

Hugo is the son of Hendrik and Marnelise van der Walt. Hugo is involved in the National Honor Society, Science Club, SADD Club Secretary, Spanish Club, Soccer and Varsity G. He also participates in Church Youth Group, Volunteer for Vacation Bible School, Tutor at South School with Church. Hugo plans to attend college for a degree in Engineering but is undecided on which one.

Greenville Kiwanis is a community service organization that focuses on youth. Kiwanis meets at noon every Wednesday in the Chestnut Village Center at Brethren Retirement Community. New members are welcome.
