Health Department Offers Free Visit from Newborn Nurse

Are you a new parent, or about to give birth? Do you have questions on the care or feeding of your infant? How about questions on Shaken Baby or SIDS? The Darke County Health Department has a free program just for you. If you are a first time parent, and Darke County resident, you are eligible for a free visit from our newborn nurse, at no cost to you.

Our experienced newborn nurse can make a visit to you, in the privacy and comfort of your own home. This service provides a physical assessment of you and your baby, including a weight check, and includes a wealth of information on the care and development of your newborn, as well as freebies, and community resources.
