WHIOtv.com: Dozens of Jobs Coming to Mercer Co at New Plant

WHIOtv.com is reporting today that a Wisconsin based company, AG Conversions, has announced plans to open a new facility in southern Mercer County at 127 and 119, just south of Celina. The company will convert manure into dry fertilizer, which aims to also help stem the flow of waste that is causing the well documented blue-green algae problems in Grand Lake St. Marys.

The plant is expected to create 60 new jobs as well as 180 indirect jobs (suppliers, drivers, warehouse workers, etc) and represents a $10-$11 million investment.

Even though this isn't technically in Darke County, any economic development nearby will surely benefit the area as a whole.
