Details on Second Accident Today on US 127

On April 3, 2012 at approximately 3:50 PM Darke County Deputies, along with Greenville Township Fire, Greenville Township Rescue and CareFlight were dispatched to the intersection of US Route 127 and Sebring-Warner Road in reference to a two vehicle injury accident.

Preliminary investigation revealed a maroon 2007 Chrysler Town and Country minivan, driven by Rollin H. Ary, 89, Greenville, Ohio was eastbound on Sebring-Warner Road approaching the stop sign at US Route 127. A green 1995 Cadillac Sedan Deville, driven by Sue A. Poling, 71, Hollansburg, Ohio was northbound on US Route 127 when Ary’s vehicle traveled through the intersection and was struck on the passenger side by Poling’s vehicle. The collision caused Ary’s vehicle to roll onto it’s side.

Poling was airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight. A second CareFlight was dispatched to the accident scene and airlifted Ary and his passenger, wife Lois, 87, to Miami Valley Hospital. The condition of the occupants is unknown at this time.

This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
