Preliminary investigation revealed a green 1995 GMC van, driven by Carol Simason, 49, Gordon, Ohio was southbound on Arcanum Bears Mill Road when she traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a guardrail. Simason's vehicle traveled across the roadway striking a utility pole and a tree. Simason's vehicle came to rest in the side ditch.
Simason was airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight. Simason's passengers were three small children, Greenville Township Rescue was dispatched to the scene. Two of the children were transported to Wayne HealthCare for further evaluation.
The condition of the occupants is unknown at this time.
This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
