RICHARD RENTZ BLOOD DONATION ADVOCACY AWARDS

DARKE COUNTY, OHIO – Community Blood Center (CBC) is pleased to announce winners of the first annual Richard Rentz Blood Donation Advocacy Awards. In 2011, the Darke County Advisory Board developed a local recognition program to honor special supporters of CBC from Darke County. The award was named in honor of a very special blood donor advocate, Richard Rentz.

Richard was a very committed and dedicated blood donor who donated 428 lifesaving blood products. He served on the Darke County Advisory Group for over 12 years, and volunteered at many CBC Darke County events. Richard was a strong advocate for the importance of the volunteer blood donor program.

The goal of the awards is to recognize those who exceed expectations as an advocate for blood donations within Darke County and Union City blood drives.

The Richard Rentz Blood Donation Advocacy Awards are awarded in the following categories.

• Sponsor Group/Organization/Blood Drive Support Sponsor/Host Site
• Education
