For several years Youth For Christ has held "Serve Darke County" in October, as a way to raise funds for YFC's programs which benefit area high school students. As you know, Serve Darke County is more than a fundraiser, however. It gives back to the community. Picture a Walk America-type event where participants collect pledges to help the cause (YFC) and, instead of walking, they participate in service projects throughout the county!
We would like to invite potential team leaders and anyone interested in making this event happen to our Serve Darke County Pre-event on Saturday, May 12, beginning at 9am and dismissing promptly at 10:15am, at the Brethren Retirement Community Brick Room. There you will receive a complimentary breakfast provided by BRC and hear more about how your group might be involved in Serve Darke County. By attending the breakfast, you are not committing your group to participate. It's simply an opportunity for you to find out more about the event so you are able to make an informed decision.
There is no cost to attend the breakfast, but we do ask that you RSVP to help us prepare for the proper number of guests.
