State of the Heart Receives United Way Funding To Help with Grief Support Programs

State of the Heart Hospice was recently granted funds from Darke County United Way for outreach efforts for grief support provided by the non-profit agency. State of the Heart is a community partner agency with United Way. The agency received $2,500 as a partner agency with funds directed to grief support programs provided patients and families. Grief support is free and is an important part of the care provided by State of the Heart. In addition, State of the Heart received $2,000 through the United Way Community Fund with these funds directed to Camp BEARable for grieving children. The camp will be held for the 12th year July 13-15 at the Spiritual Center of Maria Stein. The camp is free and is open to any child, six to 15, needing help dealing with grief and loss.

The Darke County United Way is proud to partner with State of the Heart Hospice. The United Way’s mission is to increase the capacity to care for one another in Darke County through initiatives such as health, education, and stability serving youth, seniors, those in crisis, and those seeking self-sufficiency.
