In conjunction with June being Adopt-A-Pet month, the Darke County Animal Shelter will be hosting it’s second annual open house on Saturday, June 16, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
There will be free food and drinks, a coloring contest for the children, free raffles with items donated by Kitchenaid and private donations, and DJ Justin Tegtmeyer will be playing your favorite tunes.
The Darke County Friends of the Shelter will be assisting the shelter staff with tours and shelter information. Please come and see the future home of your community dog park. Most importantly the shelter will be open for adoptions during the open house. Since the motto is “Adopt, Don’t Shop,” come visit your local animal shelter and bring home a new best friend.
