Original Post: The Dayton Daily News today has the story that has one man's body found in a mulch pile and a 78 year old home owner in jail with murder charges pending.
31 year old Bobby Joe Grubbs was allegedly trespassing on the property of 78 year old Joseph Kutter, potentially gathering ginseng plants. Details of any altercation are still sparse, only that it appears as though Kutter shot and killed Grubbs who did not have permission to be on Kutter's property. The Preble County Prosecutor's office is reluctant to reveal many details at this point while the investigation is ongoing and charges are pending, but did say that the body was "concealed" but "not buried" and declined to elaborate on what that exactly meant.
It's unclear when the altercation occurred, but the body was discovered on Saturday morning and was described as "fairly decomposed." Grubbs' family reported he had been missing for approximately 1 week. Kutter made no report to the authorities that anyone had trespassed on his property.
