On June 21, 2012 at approximately 12:09 PM Darke County Drug Task Force along with Darke County SRT, Deputies from the Darke County Sheriffs Office, Officers from the Greenville Police Department and Miami County Sheriffs Office K9 responded to 117 E. Walnut Ln. in Palestine to execute a search warrant. The search warrant was obtained based on a drug trafficking investigation done by the Darke County Drug Task Force over the last month, but information had been gathered for several years prior to that. Officers seized illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, firearms and a large sum of cash.
Arrested at the residence was Dale Bowling Sr. age 59 and Kristen Bowling age 23 on charges of Drug Trafficking. Both subjects were arrested without incident and transported to the Darke County Jail. No other parties were found at the residence at the time the warrant was executed.
Darke County Animal Shelter was also called to the scene to remove a pet from the residence.
The investigation is ongoing.
