Versailles Boys and Girls Find Success at State

The Versailles boys and girls track teams were heavily represented at the state track meet this weekend with several qualifiers and brought home several awards.

For the boys, Sam Prakel won the  boys 1600 and 3200 meter runs, making him state champion in both. In addition, the boys 4x400m relay team of Mitchell Campbell, Darren Subler, Craig Pothast, and Chad Winner finished 6th, with Pothast also finishing 6th in the high jump.

Points from these event had the Versailles boys team placing 3rd overall at the meet.

The girls were also outstanding. While no one won their events, the team's consistency and high placing across a  variety of events earned them enough points that, as a team, they placed first overall.
