Visit the Council House

Join the Darke County Parks for a chance to visit the Anthony Wayne Peace Council House, located on Wilson Drive, at Prairie Ridge Meadow. The Council House will be open on Saturday, July 7th at 10:00am. Take a chance to discover why Anthony Wayne built the house and what purpose it served in the creation of the Treaty of Greenville. While inside the Council House, we’ll discuss the many artifacts that were donated to represent the 13 tribes present during the signing. This is a unique opportunity to learn more about the rich history, right in our own backyard! Take advantage of this completely FREE program. To register for this program, call the Nature Center at 937.548.0165.
