“I have always been a part of the community and I believe in giving back to the community. The community has been good to me,” Knapp said in making the donation to Senior Scribes volunteer George Starks.
As a Business Sponsor, Dave Knapp has chosen to help Darke County athletes who have not only excelled academically but also in their chosen athletic pursuits. Two checks will be presented – one each to a boy and a girl - at a later date. Jenna Dowler, GHS graduate who excelled in Girls Basketball will be the female recipient. The male recipient will be announced at that time.
“The youth of today will be the leaders of tomorrow,” Knapp added. “With today’s economy, kids need a helping hand with expenses.”
