Note from the Park Board Regarding Storm Damage and the Clean Up Process

Citizens of Greenville,

As we all know, our city and community was hit extremely hard over the weekend from storms. Our beautiful city park was one of the areas affected. We lost a large tree that fell over into Shelter House 1 and many other trees that have damage and/or have extreme dangerous hangers in the tops of them. We have a lot of debris on the ground. We have been contacted by many citizens that want to volunteer to help and we are so APPRECIATIVE! We would however, ask our citizens to contact Andy Meade at the Parks office ( 548-2315) before you pick up any debris in our around the park. We have insurance adjustors that will be assessing the damage and will be making plans in the next few days for the clean up. We love the fact that we have citizens that want to help and we never turn away our volunteers! Thank you and as always, you can contact myself, Andy or any board member with any issues, concerns, suggestions or comments.

Sincerely,

Kathy Beam
Greenville City Park Board President
