Local Greenville residents Suzie Brown and Mary Smith, members of the Schroeder Tennis Center 3.5 Senior Ladies Team (Tipp City), recently captured the State of Ohio Championship title, after winning the Ohio Valley District Championship against teams from Columbus, Cincinnati and Charleston, WV. At the state tournament, the Schroeder’s ladies defeated teams from both Northwest Ohio (Toledo) and Northeast Ohio (Cleveland).
On the weekend of August 24-26, the team took 3rd place at the Midwest Sectional event in Fort Wayne IN, where they bested state champions from Michigan and Wisconsin, but fell to eventual winner and runner-up teams from Illinois and Indiana respectively.
