The popular program Wee Read for young children and their families will begin Monday, September 17 at 6:30 p.m. at New Madison Public Library. Each weekly Wee Read session will last about 30 minutes and include lively interaction with books, music, activities and crafts that will encourage reading habits in young children. The program is free and open to the public. No pre-registration is required. The recommended age is 3-5 years old, but younger and older children are welcome to attend and participate at the discretion of the parent or guardian. Wee Read is especially popular with families that have children of different ages.
To kick off a new year of reading and fun, children will enjoy an ice cream sundae bar with lots of yummy toppings at the end of the September 17 session.
