WHIO: 300 Pot Plants Found in Darke County

Update: The count for plants found is now over 300 with an estimated total value of $300,000, some being 10 feet tall. The article also states that
Deputies said they received a tip around 1:30 a.m., and when they arrived at the house, a man appeared at the front door with a shotgun. The man put down the weapon when deputies explained who they were, according to reports.

Original Post: WHIOtv.com is reporting this morning that approximately 200 pot plants, some as tall at 7 feet, have been found during a marijuana eradication effort this morning before dawn.

The plants were in a yard on Red River-West Grove Rd near Arcanum and were blocked from view by a  "wall of corn."

As of 9am, no arrests had been made and the property owners were cooperating. More information will be posted when it is made available.
