ABC22/Fox45 News has an exclusive interview with a Darke County teen who was the victim of a hit and run last week, resulting in the amputation of his leg.
Trevor Bates was riding a motorcycle in Dayton at the intersection of Needmore and Webster when he was struck by a car that proceeded to leave the scene. He was ejected from the bike and landed after crossing two lanes of traffic. The impact crushed his leg, leaving his family with the difficult choice to go forward with the amputation to save his life.
