GHS Vocal Music Announcements

Greenville High School Vocal Music Fall Concert


On Tuesday, October 23 at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Hall, the Greenville High School Vocal Music Concert will occur. Performing on the concert is: Concert Choir, Wavaires, Girls Glee, Men’s Choir and Women’s Choir. All seats are reserved and tickets may be purchased at the Greenville High School ticket booth from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. daily from Wednesday, October 10 till the performance date. The price of tickets is $5.00 for presale and $6.00 at the door. There are no refunds or exchanges. Tickets may also be reserved by contacting Linda Hickerson at 548-2084 on Wednesday, October 10 and after. The choirs are accompanied by Terri Fryman and directed by Michele Smith.

Girls Glee is performing “Doodle Doo Doo,” “Mean,” and “Jar of Hearts.” Men’s Choir is performing “Let’s Hang On,” and “We May Not Be Vampires.” Women’s Choir is singing “Someone Like You” and “Bring Me Sunshine.” The Wavaires will give a sneak peek of their upcoming “A Night Out With the Wavaires.” The Concert Choir will perform “Beatles in Revue” featuring A Hard Day’s Night, Can’t Buy Me Love, Eleanor Rigby, Yesterday, All You Need is Love, I Want to Hold Your Hand, Hey Jude and several other Beatles hits. The concert will conclude with the combined choirs singing “Battle Hymn of the Republic,” arranged by Peter J. Wilhousky.

A Night Out With the Wavaires

Ticket sales for the November 3rd production of “A Night Out With the Wavaires” will take place on Wednesday, October 10 and after. The seats are reserved. Tickets may be purchased at the Greenville High School ticket booth from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. daily beginning on Wednesday, October 10th. Tickets are $6.00 pre-sale and $7.00 at the door. There are no refunds or exchanges. Tickets may also be reserved by contacting Linda Hickerson at 548-2084 on Wednesday, October 10 and after. The Wavaires are under the direction of Michele Smith and accompanied by Terri Fryman. The choreographer for the show choir is Tyler Stickel. The Wavaires had a trip to New York City on June 6-11, 2012. While in NYC, they performed to a sold-out concert in the Allen Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center at Columbus Circle, St. Paul’s Church at Ground Zero, and Riverside Church.

Some of the song selections on the concert are: Get On Your Feet, Disco Fever, Forget You, Knee Deep, All For the Best, Green River, Seven Bridges Road, 90’s Rock Party, Born This Way, Light Up the World and several spotlights.

Members of the Wavaires are Sabrina Curry, Alex Davis, Caitlyn Eckstein, Jeanna Gnade, Sarah Green, Ashley Grote, Ben Hayes, Adam Hickerson, Hannah Hunt, Evan Kiser, Brittany Kuhn, Heath Marker, Brooke Netzley, Kira Ross, and Tessah Schinke.
