Greenville, OH. The Greenville Business and Professional Women’s Club (BPW) had the wonderful opportunity to partner with MainStreet Greenville on the ‘First Friday’ event held on October 5, 2012. The event entitled ‘Artisan’s Corner’ invited all local artists, creators, and craftsmen to be a part of this experience. Greenville BPW became involved with this challenge as they believe in involvement with the community and making downtown Greenville a vital part of Darke county. Local downtown merchants offered their place of business to put up a display. Some of the artisans that participated in the event were: Janet Boyer, Jostin Schimmoeller, Victoria’s View Photography, Minutia Miniatures, Gail Snyder, Susan North Art Tribute, Unbelievable Skin Care, Suz Balla, R & J’s Tall Oak Apiary, Jamie Cook, Cheryl Bulcher Photography, W.E.H. Art, Chet Wirrig, Isabelle Culbertson and Carolyn Armstrong. Downtown Greenville Farmers Market also joined in the evening. Jafe Decorating was a sponsor of the event.
The proceeds from this fundraiser will go to BPW’s scholarship fund to further the young women of Darke County’s education.
The Club meets the second Thursday of each month for a dinner business meeting. Contact membership chair Gail Snyder at 937.423.4854 or gails669@embarqmail.com if you would like to learn more about the Club.
