The Great Pumpkin Hunt
Pumpkins, pumpkins everywhere! Wander through the woods at Shawnee Prairie Preserve in search of October’s most popular color, ORANGE! The Great Pumpkin Hunt will be held Saturday, October 20th from 1-3pm. Enjoy this unique, fun-for-the-whole-family alternative to scary Halloween events. Spend the afternoon exploring the woods at Shawnee Prairie Preserve (4267 St. Rt. 502 West) on a scavenger hunt filled with fall goodies. You must answer Halloween and Fall trivia questions correctly to lead you to the goodies. After your hunt through the woods, you can head inside and paint a pumpkin to take home! Call the Nature Center at 937-548-0165 to pre-register as space is very limited! The fee for this event is $6.
