How would you like to be a part of beautifying your community and serving others, while in the same instant you could be spending fun time with friends and family? Oh, and did I mention you could also earn some really great gifts, too?
Serve Darke County will be on Saturday, October 6, 2012 from 8-1 pm including a celebration meal with door prizes and fund raising prizes awarded. This is an event where participants raise pledges to benefit an excellent cause and then spend a morning performing community service projects that will make Darke County a better place for all of us to live. Each participant can choose from a list of prearranged projects to help complete in your community such as: painting a fence around tennis courts, volunteering @ the County home, doing trail clean-up at various county parks, raking leaves at a public library, etc.
This project is being sponsored by Darke Co. Youth for Christ, an organization that reaches hundreds of teenagers in our local area. In return of raising $25 in pledges, each participant will receive a SERVE Darke County T-shirt, a water bottle and a free lunch to end this day of fun.
