Armed Robbery at Fairgrounds Drive-Thru

ARMED ROBBERY AT FAIRGROUNDS DRIVE-THRU 1207 SWEITZER ST.

On November 13, 2012 at approximately 10:00 p.m., the Greenville Police Department received a 911 phone call from an employee at the Fairgrounds Drive-Thru, 1207 Sweitzer St, advising he had just been robbed at gunpoint by an unknown male suspect. During the robbery, the suspect displayed a handgun and had the clerk place an undetermined amount of cash in a black plastic bag and then ordered the clerk into the office and tied him up. The suspect then fled the area northbound on foot. The clerk was physically unharmed during the robbery.

The suspect was described as follows:

  • Tall male between 6' and 6’3"
  • Thin build
  • Wearing a black hoodie that covered his entire head and face
  • The hoodie was accented with white, described by the victim as a“Spider pattern”
  • Bluejeans

The Greenville Police Department responded and is currently conducting an investigation into the robbery. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Marion at the Greenville Police Department at (937) 548-4150 or Darke County Crime Stoppers at (937) 547- 1661. Tips can remain anonymous and there is a cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s).
