St. Mary's Holiday Bazaar

The ladies of St. Mary’s Rosary Altar Society have been busy making crafts for their upcoming bazaar. Two or three times a month for the last year, a group of crafty women met for a couple of hours. Christmas items include angels, angel pins, wreaths, ornaments and small decorated trees. For Fall and Thanksgiving, there are small turkeys and cornucopias. Handmade jewelry, floral arrangements in small baskets, assorted arts and crafts, and bird-related decorations are also available.

A wonderful lunch with a choice of three homemade soups, meat sandwiches, and assorted deserts will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The St. Mary’s School Children’s Choir will sing at 11:30 a.m.

“Cinnamon rolls are baked fresh each morning,” said a Rosary Altar Society member.

Bake sale items include fresh bread, fruit cake, nut breads, cookies, pies, angel food and other cakes, candies and canned items like pickles and apple butter.

This is a real old-fashioned bazaar. Everything is made/donated by parish members. There are no separate vendors. Religious items and items sold by other parish groups will also be for sale.

A Choice Raffle will be available this year. On each ticket, the buyers will be able to choose the item they would like to take a chance to win. The items on the raffle are “Shrek” tickets, Kitchen Aid items, miniature Longaberger baskets, One month Curves membership, Cone Hole game, and a gift certificate tree.

The bazaar will be held in St. Mary’s School basement on November 10, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 7 p.m. The bazaar will continue on Sunday morning November 11, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Fresh cinnamon rolls will again be available.

For tickets or information, call the parish office at 548-1616.
