State of the Heart Hospice Aides Attend National Conference

State of the Heart Hospice aides Shirley Bruner and Amanda Garringer recently attended the national conference conducted by the National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization which was held in Florida. State of the Heart Hospice, with offices in Greenville, Coldwater and Portland, cares for patients and families in eastern Indiana and western Ohio.

Hospice aides are an important part of the team of caregivers which provides care to patients and families. In addition to hospice aides, other members of the health care team are physicians, nurses, social workers, grief specialists, chaplains, music therapists and volunteers.

Each year, the National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization conducts an annual conference where hospice professionals gather to learn and share with other hospice caregivers from throughout the United States.
