Eagles Scholarship Dance

Greenville’s best kept secret is the Saturday evening dance at the Eagles on Third Street. Surrounded by beautiful holiday lighting, guests danced to the lively music of the band, Tempest.

A variety of good food from the kitchen and beverages from the bar were available to be enjoyed while listening or in between dances, as the band provided danceable music from ballads to music with a more contemporary beat.

Although the Eagles usually sponsor dances once a month, Saturday evening’s dance was to benefit the Darke County Senior Scribes Scholarship Fund. Senior Scribes, a local group of writers, gives scholarships each year to deserving high school seniors who are planning to pursue a media related career.

For future information about similar pleasant evenings, call the Eagles to get their schedule of upcoming events. And, to get information about the Senior Scribes and their scholarship opportunities, plus the latest news round and about the county and state, log on to www.countynewsonline.org.
