Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey announced that his office is investigating a stabbing incident that took place at 1805 Frahm Pike Road, Celina, on December 16, 2012.
Central Dispatched received a 9-1-1 call from a Shannon Farley at 02:39 AM who reported an ex- boyfriend was at her residence trying to get in. Ex-Boyfriend was identified as 21 year old Phillip William Hibner of 219 West South Street in Coldwater, Ohio. Farley reported Hibner forced his way into the residence and then got into an altercation with her current boyfriend Kelly R. Cheadle of Dayton, Ohio. During the altercation, Hibner cut Cheadle with what was described as a box cutting type knife/tool.
Cheadle was treated at Mercer Health for the wound. Hibner was found at his residence in Coldwater. Hibner was taken into custody and is currently being held in the Mercer County Detention Facility on Felonious Assault charges, currently Mr. Hibner is being held with $100,000.00 bond per Municipal Court Judge Scheer. The case is currently being reviewed for possible additional charges.
