"If it's valuable, lock it up." DCSO Warns of Increasing Burglaries

WHIOtv.com has posted a message from DCSO Detective Sgt. Mike Burns regarding a rash of burglaries reported in Darke County (nearly 50 in the last 30 days). He advises a logical solution of, "if it's important enough that when it becomes stolen you're going to report it, lock it up."

He also stated that they believe most of these are not related to the economy, but rather are more likely to be drug related and that most of these are the results of items taken from unlocked cars or storage buildings. He also advised that if anything doesn't look right or something draws your suspicion, "report it."
