Miami Valley Vending and BASF Give to United Way

left to right are: Keith Kretschmar and Heather Smith - BASF, Lauren Henry – DC United Way, and Tina & Willie Powell – Miami Valley Vending Services.
For 65 years, the Darke County United Way has served those in need in the community. From seniors needing a hot meal in their homes, to children needing a safe place to go, United Way has helped in times of need and can do this because of great partners in the community. Two of the United Way’s wonderful partners include BASF and Miami Valley Vending Services. In celebration of this campaign, BASF and Miami Valley Vending Services, owned by Willie and Tina Powell, teamed up for a Jim’s Hot Dog Day at the plant to help the United Way work towards their goal of $360,000. Miami Valley Vending Services served Jim’s Hot Dogs on all shifts at BASF donating 100% of the proceeds to the Darke County United Way. BASF then matched this donation. Together the companies raised $1,092 with this fun event to provide hope for those in need in Darke County. The board of directors at United Way wants to extend a huge thank you to Miami Valley Vending Services/Jim’s Drive In and BASF for their kind support of the United Way.
