On December 24th it will be time for advent to end. We at Trinity of Versailles invite all to come and welcome the arrival of our Lord. We will gather in the evening to have a celebration of music and the word of God in our “Christmas Eve by Candlelight” service. The babe in the manger welcomes all to come.
At 10:30 p.m. a Recital of Carols will fill the sanctuary. Karen Lawrence will be at our organ and she’ll be joined by Deidre Greenan at the harp. Tricia and Joey McEldowney will provide a violin duet and various other music will open our celebration.
At 11:00 p.m. the service will begin in the sanctuary that has been transformed for the season with twinkling lights, blazing candles and joyous hymns to welcome the baby, Jesus. The magnificent stained glass windows will be illuminated from the outside to add to the festive atmosphere.
The service will have music from the Trinity choir, traditional Lutheran Liturgy with Holy Communion for all present who have been baptized. Pastor Akins will have a message for both the young and the young at heart to proclaim the Messiah’s birth. Concluding the service will be a traditional candle light and the singing of “Silent Night”.
Join us for this family worship. As the holy family gathered in Bethlehem gather with us on Christmas Eve.
