Wayne Industries Increasing Donation to United Way

Darke County United Way is proud to partner with Wayne Industries/ Darke County Board of DD to serve many neighbors in need in this community. Wayne Industries has been supporting the United Way campaign giving back locally for many years.

With the support of their employee council, staff, and all members at Wayne Industries/Darke County Board of DD, they raised $4,237.56 for the 27 local non-profit programs supported through Darke County United Way. Their gift helps the United Way serve over 19,000 residents throughout the county strengthening Education, Health and Stability for Darke County. Elizabeth Brewer and the Wayne Industries council presented the check to Lauren Henry.

Wayne Industries/ Darke County Board of DD works throughout the year with United Way. Staff provide allocation and board leadership for the United Way and they hold many exciting fundraisers to help strengthen education, health and stability needs in the county. Fun events this year included chili, pizza, and taco lunch fundraisers, clothing sales, Wick’s pies, jeans days, pizza/movie nights, and a fantastic dance. On behalf of the Darke County United Way Board of Directors and Staff, we would like to extend a gracious thank you to Wayne Industries/ Darke County Board of DD for their tremendous effort to help the youth, seniors, those in crisis, and those seek self-sufficiency in our community.
