EUM CHURCH OFFERS SUPPORT

This winter, EUM Church is hosting several support groups that offer practical solutions for everyday issues. Those being offered are:

  • Amputees in Motion (AIM) - This support group offers knowledge, support, guidance and the latest information on the needs of today‘s amputee. For more information, go to www.AmputeesInMotion.com. Second Monday of each month 7:00-9:00 p.m.in the Darke County Health Department—Basement Conference Room.
  • Boundaries – This is a course for those who are already in healthy situations who would like to have a better sense of when to say “yes” to something and when to say “no”, as well as those who are in great need of setting boundaries. Tuesdays, 6:30 p.m.
  • Chronic Illness / Pain Support Group – Dealing with a chronic condition can be difficult. This group will help you realize you are not alone. We will explore God’s presence, fellowship, and discover ways to put our worries and fears about the future aside. Find out how God can use you, even when you feel exhausted. Mondays, 10:00 am.
  • DivorceCare – Find help and healing for the hurt of separation and divorce. Don’t go through separation or divorce alone. DivorceCare is led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. Thursdays, 6:30 p.m.
  • DivorceCare for Kids – DC4K will help minimize and eliminate the short and long-term negative effects of divorce on your children’s schoolwork, emotional health and spiritual life. As children begin to heal from the pain and confusion, their relationships with God and others will grow healthy and strong. Thursdays, 6:30 p.m.
  • Every Man’s Battle – Men are constantly faced with the assault of sensual images. It is impossible to avoid such temptations...but, thankfully, not impossible to rise above them. Shattering the perception that men are unable to control their thought lives and roving eyes, Every Man's Battle gives a detailed plan for any man who desires sexual purity. Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m.
  • “DISCIPLINE, the Acronym” Parenting Support – This ten-week parenting support group will explore the critical values of discipline guidelines that may be used for most child age groups. We will delve completely into one DISCIPLINE tip each Wednesday night. This is a safe place where parents can find encouragement, support and guidance right where they are in challenging parenting situations. This group will be a powerful tool to help parents to raise their kids to be all that God intended them to be! Wednesdays, 6:30 pm.
  • Spouse House – Spouse House will “Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage” this winter. This DVD series brings lots of laughter and joy back in to the ho hum drums of marriage that can creep into our lives. What an awesome way to reconnect or strengthen the connection you already have with your spouse. It is great to have other couples to talk and listen to that have either "been there, done that" or have the "that won't happen to us" philosophy. We all made this covenant of marriage before God, family and friends. What better legacy to leave for our children and grandchildren… a legacy of a strong, close marriage! Please join us on this awesome adventure. Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m.
  • Single Identity – Single men and women 18 and older gather together several times monthly for fellowship, bible study, and support. Connect with us on Facebook at EUM Single Identity. Bible study “Now What Do I Do?” Tuesdays, 6:30 p.m.

Groups begin the week of January 13. For more information on these or any other classes at EUM Church or to register, go to www.eumchurch.org or call 548-3211 ext 217.
