Governor John Kasich today appointed Darryl Mehaffie to serve on the State Board of Education. Mehaffie replaces Dennis Shelton, who resigned in September.Mehaffie is retired from Northmont City Schools in Englewood, where he taught fifth and sixth grade for many years.
Mehaffie also serves on the Ohio Association of Community Colleges, Edison Community College Board of Trustees, and Republican State Central Committee.
Mehaffie resides in Wayne Lakes with his wife Mary Ann.
