MVCTC currently has 33 students participating in the Apprenticeship program and Internships with local business partners in many different career areas. The Apprenticeship program allows students to work and earn a paycheck, while learning skills and earning the certifications employers want. In most cases, an Apprenticeship student will work two weeks on a job related to their career program and then spend two weeks at school. They are responsible for keeping up on all of their academic classwork at all times. MVCTC provides students with a laptop and online resources to ensure students do not fall behind on their classwork. The work completed for the employer on the Apprenticeship counts towards the student’s career technical program grade. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain real-life work experience and oftentimes leads to full-time employment.

- Heavy Equipment Operator – 2 Students
- Welding – 5 Students
- Precision Machining – 1 Student

- Automotive Technology – 4 Students
- Legal assistant – 2 Students
- Business Ownership – 1 Student
MVCTC senior, Richard Mannix (Vandalia Butler) is enrolled in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Plumbing program. He is currently working as an Apprentice for WAT-KEM Mechanical in Troy. Richard is working on the Miami Valley Hospital South job – New cancer center, new construction.
MVCTC senior, Chris Singer (Dixie) is enrolled in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Plumbing program. He is currently working as an Apprentice for Apex Mechanical Systems (Englewood, Ohio) and is working on a project Fort Recovery High School that includes the replacement of the boiler, hot water, heat, and air conditioning for the entire facility.
