The Ladies of Harmony to be Performed at The Oakland Church of the Brethren Dinner Theater

The Oakland Church of the Brethren, 8058 Horatio-Harris Creek Road, Bradford (2 and half miles north of Gettysburg, Ohio) is presenting The Ladies of Harmony as their 2013 Dinner Theater production. This comedy will bring the audience much laughter as six church ladies meet to plan a small funeral dinner for a man they despised. They engage in gossip and during their conversations reveal several secrets about themselves. The big surprise comes the day of the funeral dinner when an unexpectedly large crowd arrives at the dinner and the ladies endure some very embarrassing moments.

Oakland’s annual dinner theater is well known throughout the community. Those who attend are warmly greeted with valet parking, a wide variety of freshly prepared salads, entrees and desserts as well as wholesome entertainment that highlights the talents that exist within the congregation.

John Dillon is the director. Frank Marchal is the producer. Vonnie Jones is dinner coordinator. The cast members are Betty Byrd, Darlene Dillon, Lynne Hanes, Nan Hottle, Kay Scammahorn, and Rhonda Scammahorn.

The dates for this hilarious comedy are March 1, 2, 8 and 9 at 6:00 pm, cost of the dinner buffet and play is $22.00. The play only with dessert to follow is March 3 at 2:00 pm, cost is $12.00. Cost for children 10 and under is half price. Reservations may be made by calling Brenda Coblentz at 937-548-1895 between the hours of 4-8pm.

Proceeds from the dinner theater production will help support Oakland’s outreach projects.
