Winter Survival Basics

You and your family are taking a hike on a beautiful snow-covered winter day, when you realize you’re not sure which way is home and it’s getting dark... now what?

Join the Darke County Park District as we learn the basics of winter survival; firemaking, shelter-building and getting home the next morning. This program will be held on Saturday, January 26th from 2-5pm and will be a very hands-on and outdoors program. We will split into teams and work to make our impromptu winter shelter. This program is open to all over the age of 10 (under 10 accompanied by an adult).

There is a fee of $5 per person and space is limited, please register early by calling 937.548.0165.
