Join us on Saturday, February 16th at 10:00am as we welcome respected author and editor, Bob Converse, as he shares his knowledge of the prehistoric Adena culture which thrived in Ohio around 3,000 to 4,000 years ago. He will explain how these unique people introduced the first pottery, built the first burial mounds, and fashioned amazing tools made of flint and slate.
There will be many displays of Adena artifacts from Darke County. Following the lecture, Mr. Converse will autograph his books, including The Archaeology of Ohio and will also inspect any artifacts you may have found and help you discover more about them.
Please call the Nature Center at 937.548.0165 to pre-register for this FREE program. Seasoned archeology buffs, as well as others interested in learning more about our rich past, are sure to enjoy this program!
