DCSO Discovers Two Meth Labs in One Day

On February 7, 2013 at approximately 1:05 am Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies along with the Ansonia Fire Department responded to the 10,400 block of Beisner Road in reference to a ditch fire. Upon arrival deputies discovered the materials burning appeared to be items used in the manufacturing of Methamphetamine. The Darke County Sheriff’s Office Clandestine Drug Lab team responded to the scene to neutralize and removed all hazardous materials.

On February 7, 2013 at approximately 10:00 pm Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 9690 Greenville-St. Mary’s Road Versailles Ohio to serve a misdemeanor arrest warrant on Edward Dingman Jr., 39 of Versailles Ohio.

While deputies were on scene they observed what appeared to be materials used to manufacture Methamphetamine. The Darke County Sheriff’s Office Clandestine Drug Lab team responded to the scene to identify and dismantle the materials used in the Methamphetamine Drug Lab. Deputies obtained a search warrant for the property. Deputies located numerous materials inside and outside the residence that confirmed the manufacturing of Methamphetamine. Darke County’s Clandestine Drug Lab team neutralized and removed all hazardous materials.

Edward Dingman Jr. was arrested on the misdemeanor warrant. It is unknown if the both drug lab incidents are related. Both incidents are still under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office. At this time there are no charges filed on either incident pending the return of lab results on forensic evidence collected at the scene. Once the investigation is complete the case will be forwarded to the Darke County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
