Mumford & Sons, Others, to Play 2 Day Music Festival in Troy in August

Paste Magazine (when do I ever get to reference an article in Paste Magazine?) posted an article detailing multi-Platinum folk rockers Mumford & Sons' just announced stops in their series of 2 day music festivals with several other folk rock bands. Why is this relevant?

One of the stops is in Troy, OH.

On August 30 and 31, Mumford & Sons and other acts, including Edward Sharpe and the Magnificent Zeros, will come to the area in an event that is sure to have huge positive economic impacts on the area, as well as to simply perform some amazing music.

On their Facebook page, Mumford & Sons released this statement about the tour:
“It’s a real privilege that being in Mumford & Sons has allowed us to be able to shine a light on some of those places not often visited by tour busses and splitter vans… and to get to ask some of our favourite bands to come and play a show with us. And so we are very pleased to announce the return of the Gentlemen of the Road Stopovers. We’ve got some awesome bands lined up for you and the emphasis will be on keeping it local wherever possible again.”
Tickets for the shows go on sale on Friday. You can read more about the tour and the acts included at the Gentlemen of the Road Tour's website. Check our the trailer for the festival (and get a hint at what Mumford & Sons sounds like if you're not acquainted), in the clip below.
